"Haiku for You"
. Haiku is a Japanese form of poetry
. A Haiku is usually three lines, divided into two sections -
The first - one line, shorter portion - "the fragment"
The second - two lines, longer portion - "the phrase"
. Haiku are written to capture a feeling and evoke images of the natural world.
. Try not to read Haiku as you would other poems
ALL THE HAIKU INSPIRED BY THE PAINTINGS ARE THE WORK OF THE ARTIST.

David Trubshaw moved from England to Portugal in 2004,
and started painting and writing again.
In his Algarve garden, his favourite tree is a beautiful white hornbeam
and watching it change with the seasons has inspired him to produce a book:
Haiku for You - A Celebration of the Four Seasons,
recently published, his hard back book is beautifully illustrated in full colour,
with a selection of 21 of his pictures and prints in oil, acrylic and pastel.
Each of the pictures is accompanied with a haiku poem.
Each book contains, as a complimentary gift, an individual, hand printed and signed bookmark.
Book price is 25 euros, which includes postage and packing in Portugal.
